The Energy Constant

"Questions that besiege us in life are testament of our helplessness.
There's no vestige of a beginning, no prospect of an end.
When we all disintegrate it will all happen again, yeah.
If you came to conquer, you'll be king for a day,
But you too will deteriorate and quickly fade away.
And believe these words you hear when you think your path is clear...
We have no control..." - 'No Control' ~
Bad Religion

E=mc2.

Energy never truly dies. It simply takes on other forms. That's why I believe that an afterlife does exist...sort of....because it's not really an afterlife at all, but a continuance of energy that we as human beings are forced to live under as far as physics dictation is concerned.

Matter, no matter how small, at the speed of light squared produces a large amount of energy. There is also anti-matter, which is the opposite of matter.

anti-matter - Material composed of antiparticles, which are just like ordinary protons, electrons, and neutrons except they have opposite electrical charges and magnetic moments. When antimatter and matter collide, both are annihilated with the production of other elementary particles, such as photons.

Energy itself is in a constant state of movement, so it never ends. As long as there is the presence of particles and/or anti-particles colliding with each other or moving through space, you will have energy. Hence, the Energy Constant.

So if I were to kill myself, the particles that make up my mental awareness would not cease to be. They would instead become free of my physical body. Where they would go and in what matter or anti-matter state is anybody's guess.

Where do we go when we die? Do we actually go anywhere at all? Or do we just stay around and linger a while...before deciding to go elsewhere whenever we decide to at our leisure?
