John Kerry's Band Of Brothers?
"Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has been formed to counter the false "war crimes" charges John Kerry repeatedly made against Vietnam veterans who served in our units and elsewhere, and to accurately portray Kerry's brief tour in Vietnam as a junior grade Lieutenant. We speak from personal experience -- our group includes men who served beside Kerry in combat as well as his commanders. Though we come from different backgrounds and hold varying political opinions, we agree on one thing: John Kerry misrepresented his record and ours in Vietnam and therefore exhibits serious flaws in character and lacks the potential to lead." ~ Swift Boat Veterans for Truth
I'm sure that some of you bitches out there will label this post as a conservative propaganda piece, or a pro-Republican stance, or yet another character assassination of John Kerry's war record, or yet another pro-Bush stance. Well, you'd be right about a couple of those things, but I'll leave it up to you to decide which two are the correct labels to pin upon me.
Now that we have that out of the way, I challenge any of you naysayers to dispute the charges laid upon Kerry by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. They served alongside Kerry in Vietnam, and are promptly dismissing his self-idolatry as a big ol' smelly pile of horseshit.
True, Bush never went to Vietnam. But he still served in the military during the War. And yes, it is also true that Kerry served in Vietnam and received 3 Purple Hearts during his 4 month tour, but accounts have shown that those Purple Heart medals were awarded for actions that were greatly exaggerated by Kerry. And furthermore, Kerry's response to his military commendations was to return to the United States to protest against the war and to call all of his fellow soldiers that served in Vietnam criminals who were guilty of committing war crimes and/or atrocities.
Does Kerry refer to any of his own criminal acts in Vietnam? Of course not. Everyone was committing these war crimes over there but him. Yeah...whatever you say, buddy.
So there we have it. The alternative to electing George W. Bush to another presidential term is to elect a man who spat in America's face during the Vietnam War, and yet he still wishes you to believe that he is a war hero just to get you to vote for him. Tell me, which man is more despicable to you?
