Nihilism

"Learn to swim.

Cuz I'm praying for rain
And I'm praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way.
I wanna watch it all go down.
Mom please flush it all away.
I wanna watch it go right in and down.
I wanna watch it go right in.
Watch you flush it all away.

Time to bring it down again.
Don't just call me pessimist.
Try and read between the lines.

I can't imagine why you wouldn't
Welcome any change, my friend.

I wanna see it all come down.
suck it down.
flush it down...."
~ 'Ænema' - Tool

""The precise moment at which a great belief is doomed is easily recognizable; it is the moment when its value begins to be called into question." ~ Gustave Le Bon

" You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world." ~ Tyler Durden - Fight Club

Inevitably, we are all destined for nothing. Nothing is the foundation of the Universe; before all of what we now perceive was created by the Big Flash Bang, there was insurmountable and infinite Nothing. In more earthly terms, before your shitty job there was Nothing to financially support your ass. Before your shitty marriage to the same institutional ass that you bang night after night for the rest of your short life, there was Nothing to share your heart (or at least your bed) with...well, perhaps your dog, if that applies. But indeed, before your dog, there was Nothing to wait for you to come home from your shitty job every day; Nothing to play 'fetch' with; Nothing to love you unconditionally...well, perhaps your mother if that applies. But indeed, before your mother there was Nothing for you at all, because you didn't even exist as even a possibility at that period of time. Indeed, before your very mediocre existence even began at birth (or pre-birth, depending on which side of the abortion fence that you straddle on the most) there was Nothing! Nothing! Nothing!

Yes, that's right! The be-all/end-all, Alpha and Omega, A-to-the-motherfucking-Z of all of space, time, and existence is that vast emptiness of Nothing. And that, my friends and enemies, is the cause and consequence of Nihilism.

Nihilism as it is currently and popularly defined, is the belief in Nothing, plain and simple. It is the acceptance of the vast vacuum of emptiness that surrounds and engulfs our irrelevant lives and existence; which permeates within and throughout each and every tendril and fragment of every time-point and location of our Destiny, whilst all the time ever-spiraling and intermingling with the wild and maniacal spokes of Chaos....to the point where and whence Chaos and Destiny are forever at battle with each other, while at the same time fucking each other's brains out like two lustrous and long-lost lovers, ever twisting and spitting and biting and grabbing at each other as Time itself forever weaves its sequential-yet-nonsequential web throughout the very fabric of all the Universe and the Anti-Universe combined.

It is interspersed, yes, within the fabric and foundations of our global society's overall Establishment. Where there is order in Establishment, there is disorder and chaos in Nihilism. And all must exist as one complete whole, because one cannot exist without the other, even when both are constantly at odds with each other, rejecting one another as two polar opposites must. But at the same time, ever drawing and feeding off of each other as two polar opposites also must.

There are those who perceive nihilism as a form of terrorism. And truthfully, I must admit that there are certainly similarities between the two. Both movements strive to create chaos and disorder within the confines of the Establishment. But while terrorism seeks only earthly gains (and yes, Islamic extremists seek only earthly gains, for their Paradise of 72 virgins in Allah's heaven is nothing more than a perverted and earthly desire to fuck 72 virgin girls for all Eternity!), Nihilism seeks the ultimate in spiritual freedom; to abandon all mortal desires and passions; to embrace the purity of Nothingness.

So for those of you who will confuse Nihilism with Terrorism, I laugh at you. For you are thinking of the "nihilists" of older Russia, from back in the 1800s, revolutionary Socialists whose cause called for the destruction of the Establishment as it pertained to the revolutionary cause of overthrowing (or seeking the destruction of) the Czar's established society.

However, true Nihilism rejects all establishment, and truly subscribes to overall nothingness. Therein lies the purity of that train of thought.......because to call it a 'belief' would contradict it's own philosophy, because to 'believe in nothing' (as the philosophy states) would be to believe in the 'belief of nothing'...thus believing in something that should not be believed in.

Terrorism is a doctrine in which one's beliefs, or more beliefs than your own, should be enforced by violence upon either those that you and yours have chosen to inflict your beliefs upon, or upon the chosen governments that you choose to make your enemy. Naturally, true Nihilism should reject not only the Establishment that is cradled by the reigning Government at hand, but also the beliefs and/or ideals of the opposing factions of said Government.

Nihilism is, in effect, the true neutral party.

However, the Nihilism that you may question as terrorist in nature, is NOT the Nihilism that I believe in. I'm sure that there are others, but for the most part, nihilism is a rather unpopular belief, due in no small part to the mistaken prejudice that is often evidenced by the mistaken citation of said revolutionary Russian Socialists.

There is a better Nihilism, that exists only in theory......but one that exists as well in reality; one that simply lacks a real definition. One day, perhaps someone may define it...or perhaps not.

Nothing is pure. Purity is nothing.
