Happy Birthday To Me
"Surprise
Girl I bet you thought I had went and forgot
It's a special day
Tonight
Your gift will be something you will remember
For the rest of your days..." ~ 'It's Your Birthday' - R. Kelly
"I wanna piss on you...drip-drip-drip, pee on you..." ~ Dave Chappelle Show skit
Well, that had to be the shortest 30th year of my life. I just turned 31 about a half hour ago...well, technically, since I was born in Alaska at 11:57 AM on a Saturday morning on November 24, 1973, I actually won't turn 31 for another 14-and-a-half hours (adding a 3 hour difference for Alaska Standard Time since I now live in Illinois)...but hey, fuck technicalities! It's mah birfday, beyooootch!
And once again, I don't have any beer to celebrate it right now, just like last year. But the little woman is leaving for home tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with her family, so I'm sure that I'll concoct a few plans of my own for tomorrow night. Sadly, after 5 hours of morning classes over in Iowa, and another 6 hours at work setting up for Thanksgiving, about the only energy that I'll have left after such a long day will be to snuggle up in front of the TV in the bean bag chair, sipping on a 40-ouncer or three while scarfing down some Subway sandwiches and making some online bitches scream with my copy of Halo 2 and XBox Live. It's a hard life in the 'hood, y'all. Jus' anotha day in da 244, yo.
Well, I'm outtie, folks. It's my birthday, and I have school tomorrow. No big topics tonight. I know there haven't been that many here lately, but school and work takes a lot of my time and energy these days.
Maybe someday I'll get that damned book off the ground again. Laters!
31 is 13 backwards. And 13 is a lucky number. I predict a rather interesting upcoming year.
