Is American Nationalism Really So Wrong?
"I feel sorry
For the Earth's population
'Cuz so few
Live in the U.S.A.
At least the foreigners
Can copy our morality
They can visit but they cannot stay
Only precious few
Can garner the prosperity
It makes us walk
With renewed confidence
We've got a place to go when we die
And the architect resides right here
We've got the American Jesus
Overwhelming millions every day
(exercising his authority) ~ 'American Jesus' - Bad Religion
“[The United States is] a fantastically tolerant and flexible society that has absorbed the whole world, yet has difficulty comprehending the world beyond its borders.” ~ Peter Schneider, German essayist
A European in New York
My friends and enemies, one of the Great Questions of modern times is thus; why is it so wrong to believe that the world is ours for the taking? We are Americans. We have earned the right to bend the world to our influence through powers of diplomacy, negotiation, and brute force if necessary.
For the betterment of all Mankind, Democracy is the key to a brighter future, where every citizen of every country is allowed to have an equal voice and the freedom to speak with that voice with the resulting consequences of said citizen's words to be judged by the court of his peers, whom themselves would have the same equal voice to speak out for or against said citizen.
As more and more countries begin to bend toward the powers of Democracy, it has become increasingly clear that Americans are not the only ones that have seen the positives in that form of government. For now, there are those in the world that may hate us simply for being Americans, but in time that hatred will dissolve into bitter resentment; and furthermore into an apathetic dislike; and even furthermore into bitter tolerance. Until finally, passive indifference; like your typical human being may feel toward the sun on a hot day.
Democracy is inevitable. It is the New World Order that was envisioned roughly 14 years ago by the Senior Bush. It is the simple freedoms that people enjoy, without fear of harsh reprisals from their government, such as death and torture to you or your family.
It feels good being an American, living in the most powerful and feared nation on the planet. Democracy rules, and if it doesn't completely rule now, it eventually will. No matter how many little anti-American ragheads and North Korean commie pinko bastards that our troops have to kill in order to get there.
Red, White, and Blue, bitch! Zelmo for President in 2008!
Democracy Or Death!
